BitDefender Installation

When Peanut installs BitDefender on your computer for the first time a window pops up warning you that your computer is at risk. This is normal, it takes BitDefender a few minutes to scan your system and give it the all clear, a process that can take up to 30 minutes. You can keep the window open or close it. Either way you will receive notifications if any malware is found. You can also monitor BitDefender from its menu bar item (B).

During the installation you may also see this notification. This is not a problem and is part of the installation. BitDefender constantly runs in the background checking all the data that arrives in your computer.
