Installing LucidLink

LucidLink needs to bypass a security block in macOS that would normally require starting your Mac in recovery mode and changing its security settings. Installing via Managed Software Centre bypasses this installation procedure.

Do not download LucidLink from the LucidLink website or follow the instructions provided there. Instead follow the instructions below to install LucidLink without needing to modify any security settings.

1. Open Managed Software Centre from the Applications folder
2. Search for Lucid and install it
3. Optional: also install Lucid Key if available for your organisation
4. Do not open LucidLink yet, wait for a notification asking you to restart (this can take up to an hour)
   
5. Hover the pointer over the notification and press Restart Now. This must be done before starting LucidLink
6. After restart LucidLink should open automatically when you login
